How We Are Paid

Financial Footprint is a full service wealth management provider. We believe in full disclosure concerning compensation for our hard work, and our goal is to provide the absolute best wealth management experience for you, in a cost efficient and tax effective manner. Our compensation structure is directly aligned with your interests and may be negotiated. Here are a variety of ways we may be compensated:

  • Investment management fee – An annual percentage is agreed upon and charged on the investments we manage for you. This is amount is calculated daily and paid out monthly.
  • Commission – A percentage charged to you or paid for by a fund company in the form of a commission. If you elect to pay an upfront commission (negotiable), that percentage will come directly off the original cost of your investments. Preferably – You may elect to have the fund company pay the commission in exchange for committing your investments to that company for a defined period of time. There is no cost associated to you for this choice as long as the defined time period is met. 
  • Trailers – A percentage of the value of your investments paid from the imbedded fees charged by the fund company. This percentage paid is pre-determined by the fund company and is not negotiable.
